I am putting everything on hold here until dA releases the new Groups system. I know we've kind of been dead here and that will all change once the new system is in place. I have a TON of killer ideas and the way it sounds, you will soon be able to submit your own work to the club without having to go through me. The contest is on hold but still active so if you want to still submit you may, but we will be in full swing again after the release so it might be good to hold off until then. I can't wait to see all of your work in the next few months! Happy Creating everyone!
Hey guys... I wanted to ask you all to start sending in more submissions. I would also like you to get the word out about us to anyone you know on dA that lives in or around Oregon. Basically the Pacific Northwest in General... Even Idaho
The more people we have active here the more we can do. Remember, the contest is still open also and you can submit up to FIVE entries! *more info below* Just make sure to specify whether your submissions are for the contest or for the gallery. Once I start getting enough submissions for a collection, I will put them up in the gallery as well.
Your job is to come up with *up to FIVE* entries in any medium that represent YOUR favorite thing about Oregon... Along with your entries, you MUST include, in the description, the what and why. Explain what your image represents and why you chose it. It MUST be verifiable and must have something to do with Oregon. This contest is also open to anyone who doesn't live in or has never been to Oregon... Just Google it and find something interesting you'd like to create and entry about... Just don't forget your what and why!! I really want you guys to put your heart into your work and make it the best you can. I want to see all sorts of artistic flair and emotion. As I said, all mediums are welcome, including written works.
ALSO!!! I can only afford so many prizes so if you are willing to donate some please send me a note.... Prizes can be anything from a journal feature to a subscription... even gift prints, icons, stamps... anything you can think up!! All those who donate prizes will be PERMANENTLY FEATURED in the Club Supporters section to be added to all journals.
The deadline will be... hrmm... um.. The deadline for this contest has been extended indefinitely, until further notice... I was really hoping to get some more participation on this. The very latest I will run this contest is the end of the year, but I'm hoping we get more people involved before then lol.... SO GET TO IT YALL!!!

If you would like to submit to the group, just send me a note with a link to your deviation and the details needed to Submit. For now... everyone may submit as many as they like, as often as they like. However, if submissions become congested.. I will cut it back and start screening for the best ones. ***NEW*** as a policy for submissions, I have decided that I will NOT be linking to "the original deviation" but INSTEAD to the artist's MAIN PAGE... The idea of this club is to promote the community... Oregonian or not. I feel that people should not only see one or two pieces that a person submits. They ought to, instead, browse their gallery and see all there is to see. So that is why I do not link to the Deviation itself.
